Performance Lab Sleep Aid Review

What is Performance Lab Sleep?

Performance Lab Sleep is an all natural sleep supplement with claims to help you:

  • Fall asleep faster
  • Deep sleep for longer
  • Relax your body, muscles and nerves for restful sleep
  • Have no morning grogginess

What makes Performance Lab Sleep more interesting than other sleep supplements is that it is arguably the cleanest products on the market. It is completely:

  • Plant based
  • Vegan-Friendly
  • Non-GMO
  • GMP-Certified
  • Synthetic-Free
  • Gluten-Free
  • Soy-Free
  • Allergen Friendly
  • No Banned Substances

As you can see, it’s very clean. Especially when you compare it to a lot of the cheap OTC (over the counter) options on the market.

Performance Lab Sleep Ingredients: What’s in there?

  • CherryPURE® Montmorency Tart cherry, 500 mg
  • TryptoPure® L-Tryptophan, 250 mg
  • Magnesium (Bisglycinate + Taurate + NutriGenesis®) 100 mg

Performance Lab Sleep Ingredients, Magnesium, Tart Cherry (Melatonin), L-Typtophan

There’s only three ingredients in this sleep supplement – and that appears to be all you need. Performance Lab have absolutely mastered this product with each ingredient in some way greatly boosting sleep quality.

Tart Cherry contains natural melatonin, L-Tryptophan works as a precursor for your body to make melatonin, and finally Magnesium can help reduce overnight twitches and relaxes your body for a better night’s sleep.

Below, we’ll look closer at the ingredients and how they work in this supplement.

CherryPURE® Montmorency Tart cherry, 500 mg

Montmorency Tart Cherry is a great addition to Performance Lab Sleep ingredients as it helps promote:

  • Natural Source of Melatonin
  • Faster Sleep
  • Reduces Disruptions
  • Regulates Circadian Rhythm (Better Sleep Cycle)

This is the best addition to this sleep aid, and it’s not even close. Montmorency Tart Cherry contains a natural source of melatonin – which is the sleep hormone your body needs to get a good night’s sleep.

Being natural, it’s easier for your body to take on and better supports sedating effects for faster onset sleep.

Not only that, stronger natural melatonin support can help fight blue-light distractions which can break melatonin supplies before bed. This all helps to support a better sleeping pattern too.

Montmorency Tart Cherry also contains anthocyanin antioxidants which can help with joint and muscle pains too after falling asleep.

Why Performance Lab Sleep’s tart cherry is better than regular melatonin supplements:

Huge doses of synthetic melatonin that you get in other supplements is entirely unnatural. Most of the time these options are cheaply made – and although they may have some effect, they can also cause problems like morning grogginess due to how steep the dosages are.

Performance Lab Sleep contains a 50:1 tart cherry extract which gives you the melatonin equivalent of 25g of tart cherries in a single serving.

TryptoPure® L-Tryptophan, 250 mg

The main benefits L-Tryptophan may support Lab Sleep review Performance ingredients by:

  • Fighting Stress and Mood Imbalances
  • Makes more Serotonin – Which promotes melatonin
  • Optimizing the Pineal Gland’s production of melatonin
  • Mood Support

L-Tryptophan is a great addition to any sleep supplement. It’s a great amino acid.

After you absorb L-Tryptophan, it helps convert into serotonin – which is promote mood, sleep and overall relaxation.

Not only that, serotonin is a precursor for your brain to turn into melatonin which converts in the GI tract. It also helps optimize your pineal gland which helps with the production of the sleep hormone.

Tryptophan can help improve mood, while also giving you a calmer mood which makes it easier to fall asleep around bedtime.

Magnesium 100 mg (Bisglycinate + Taurate + NutriGenesis®)

Magnesium is a great addition to the Performance Lab Sleep ingredients, it supports:

  • Reduces night disturbances
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Faster sleep onset

Magnesium is a powerful sleep aid that is often underestimated. This is mainly due to many people having a magnesium deficiency – it’s estimated that 60% of adults may not get enough magnesium from their diet.

The advantage of magnesium is that can help to relax impulses across your body which helps to reduce overnight involuntary twitching. This stops you moving overnight and reduces restless sleep. It also helps to lower your blood pressure which helps faster onset sleep.

Why Performance Lab Sleep is different:

The magnesium in Performance Lab Sleep is made with magnesium bisglycinate and taurate. The bisglycinate is magnesium bound with glycine – which is an amino acid that gives better absorption in your body.

Magnesium Taurate is magnesium and taurine, it promotes GABA which is a brain chemical which relaxes and calms you for faster onset sleep. Magnesium L-Tryptophan in the same sleep supplement is a great combination.

Performance Lab Sleep Review: How was my experience?

From my review Performance Lab have done an excellent job with Sleep. I ordered 3 boxes for $117.00 which included an extra free box along with free shipping, and I’m still taking it today for what I believe to better quality sleep. Shortly after I started running I re-ordered.

Sleep Review Performance Lab

My Background:

I sometimes experience sleep problems when I’m undergoing big projects at work – or super busy weeks. The stress definitely messes with my sleep patterns (waking up in the middle of the night, restless and struggling to get back to sleep).

I’ve tried several natural sleep aids like Alteril, but I came across Performance Lab Sleep, read some great reviews and decided to give it a try. The natural angle and the cleanliness of the Performance Labs supplements really appealed to me.

I wasn’t disappointed, it works incredibly well for me, especially during stressful periods. It eases my mind and allows me to sleep for as long as I please, along with great morning and days to follow.

Nootropics like Rhodolia Rosea and L-Theanine throughout the day I find also help the stress. I usually take a pre-made stack with my coffee in the morning.

Note: A nootropic is a cognitive enhancing supplement – I also write about those on this site.

How do I take it?

For the best sleep results I take one serving of two capsules a day, right around 30 minutes to an hour before going to bed. This is the recommended way to use it. If it’s a particularly stressful day I’ll take 4 capsules, but this is rare.

I use it on a daily basis, and find it gives me a healthy dose of sleep when I using Performance Lab Sleep consistently.

What benefits do I experience?

When I started taking these pills, I was curious to see how well they would work. The important thing was that I would get a good night’s sleep.

I wasn’t disappointed, I find that taking Performance Lab Sleep really gets me into a deeper sleep. Once I get to sleep, I don’t wake up until my alarm goes off.

I definitely feel a lot better during the morning too – no grogginess and it’s a lot easier to get out of bed first thing in the morning. It also helps to alleviate any anxiety I feel before getting out of bed for work, lulling me to stay in bed.

What did I not notice?

Getting to sleep faster. Although it’s an effective sleep aid – I find that Performance Lab Sleep doesn’t hit me incredibly hard when it comes to getting asleep. Don’t get me wrong, I can feel it helping me to get to sleep – which is a nice comfy drowsy feeling, that allows me to gently drift off.

That said, once it kicks in and you fall asleep – you sleep deep. It’s a powerful sleep aid. I find that I get a full night’s sleep, undisturbed and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go.

Review Conclusion

If you’re in search of an effective sleep aid, Performance Lab Sleep is definitely an option I think you should try.

It is hands down the best natural sleep aid that I’ve used. If you’re anything like me, once it kicks in you’ll have a sound sleep and feel refreshed and motivated when you wake up in the morning.
